I'm not above selling some of the future to win now but I think we're OK with what we have especially when TreQuan comes back.
Tre re injured (went to the locker room) himself vs the Bucs. Not sure if it's the same ankle but we are kidding ourselves banking on a 2nd year WR to bail us out this year when Mike is double/triple covered.

I'm not saying TQ is THE answer, I'm saying in my opinion our receiver corps is better than you and some others are giving them credit for. Our receivers are getting open and making catches and we're winning leaning a lot on AK and MT who are the best at their positions and in their prime. I just don't see the big gaping need that you do.

Which wide receiver(s) not named Micheal Thomas is getting open and making catches on a consistent basis? Cook? Ginn? Carr?

TB threw a perfect pass to Ginn last week somehow ended up in a defenders hand & INT . I cannot stress enough that at some point this season, a DC will take away our only threat at wide out. Happened last year with Talib on MT...

Saints desperately need a a legit #2 WR. Currently we don't have one on the roster.

Cook, then by committee including the two Hills.
Everyone is so quick to make snap judgements around here this year. Teddy's a garbage check down only QB, the defense is the worst ever and DA needs to be fired, Cook is terrible one of the worst FA's we ever brought in. As Teddy is progressing, Cook is also progressing. He had 6 TD's and 900 yards as the first receiving option in Oakland last year. He and Teddy are getting on the same page.

If one of those two goes down we are screwed. Eventually good defenses will figure out a way to take them out of the game. We also need another option in the red zone. This is nothing new, guess you werent watching last year.

Those quotes never came from me SaintGnome.

I'm probably one of the biggest supporters of Teddy and Cook on this forum.

Back on topic ... Saints must find WR production outside of Can't Guard Mike if we expect to make the run I know this team is capable of making in late January.

OK I see, sorry to lump you in with most of the posters here on those topics but then you have confused me Major. You like and support Cook, but if MT or AK get removed from a game, you don't think he's the one to step in to produce? Or are you saying we still need another even with your expected very good output from Cook?

I could have swore that was Kamara not Ginn. Have to go back and watch it but it was a super tight window. Great throw but the risk of a pick was high.

***Confirmed. Kamara not Ginn. on the pick

We didn't have Cook last year.

We are lucky to be getting much of anything out of Cook. He has been less than average 95% of his career and he's an old man. He kinda hit a wall and never improved. Last year, nobody cared because they sucked so bad so he was wide open most of the time just like that Bears WR we had who got cut again.
