Saints add Alvin Kamara to practice report with an ankle injury

Sit him and let the rest of the team win this one.

The Saints had a big addition to their injury report Thursday.

They list running back Alvin Kamara with an ankle injury. He was limited in Thursday’s practice after not being on the report Wednesday.

It is unclear when or how he injured his ankle.

It's a non-conference game and we are 4-1 so even without the ankle injury it would be wise to get Murray more carries and hope for the best.

It’s hard on the ankles when you carry the entire offense most of the time.

He'll play. Few more days to heal. Good to go. Probably just needs an extra day off.

It's probably from over use.

Which is why they need to run murray more. When he gets the ball he usually does pretty good.

I too think Murray would really benefit from more touches. It could pay off in the long run (no pun intended)

First 5 games last year 69 carries for 299 yards
First 5 games this year 75 carries for 342 yards 6 more attempts this season.

Pretty simple, if he's healthy enough to play, play him. If he's not, don't.

I’ll be ok with whatever Payton does. After hearing his explanation as to why he went for it on 4th rather than the FG at the end of the Tampa game I’ll never second guess him again. Time to just sit back and let the guys who get paid run the show. Way less stressful that way..
