Eli Apple

Re: Eli Apple
Crap. He was playing great. He’s always gotten a tough wrap by fans but he stepped in mid season last year and learn a totally new defense on the fly. He was an immediate upgrade over Crawley and progressed well all year. Earlier this year he was just a victim of some freak 1 in 1000 shot great catches. Coverage has been tight all year.

Re: Eli Apple
Based on how he seemed after he hurt himself and the location of the injury, a hyper extended knee is the best thing we could have possibly hoped for. We have the bye coming up, he should be back in no time. I want to see Justin Hardee get a crack at CB. I'm hoping this gives him a chance.

Re: Eli Apple
So long as Apple is back for Atlanta or we get a trade done.
Dont need to be having Crawley trying to cover Ridley or Sanu. Not that they are playing well |

Re: Eli Apple
Great to see him walking, hopefully he will be ok for the next game!

Re: Eli Apple

Crawley's lost confidence. To play the position effectively, you must be able to re group, re focus and move on to the next play. If we do have to insert Ken, better hope the D line can get to the QB consistently because he's a holding, pass INT waiting to happen. I've never seen corner hold as much as he does when he doesn't need to. |
Re: Eli Apple
Yeah, I'm with Major on Hardee; he seemed to regress even this past PreSeason; and that's too bad because he had prototype size and really jumped out athletically in coverage...
He's another guy like Dan Arnold who's learning an entirely new position at the NFL level no less - so he's got my respect and patience... But this past PreSeason, he just seemed like he lost some of the discipline in his game that he'd showed previously... Imagine being Crawley - to go from being one of the boys to the bottom wrung of the ladder; and then there's that whole covert, kept from main stream reporting, weird cryptic social media garbage, he's likely done... |

Re: Eli Apple
In Crawley's first year they didn't call a bunch of questionable pass interference calls. They did in year two.

Re: Eli Apple
It's the refs I tell you. They've got it in for Crawley.

Re: Eli Apple
Saints working out CB Kayvon Webster per reports.
Remember he was in at camp so he knows the system ... |

He had a major PI call in the playoffs vs Minnesota that set them up at first and goal. That's always been his trademark; give up blatant pass interference penalties. |
Re: Eli Apple
We almost made it to the superbowl with Crawley. I am at lets put him out there to see if he learned anything from the bench. precautionary measures should be made by playing a safety over the top. Justin Hardee should also be looked at taking a few snaps at the position, also

The 2017 offense was not well-equipped to get into shoot out games, and Philly that year was stacked on offense. There was a reason why we moved to a run-heavy offense that year and didn't air it out so much. It would've probably been a back and forth score fest with us trying to dig ourselves out of a hole early. Crawley is a penalty magnet and I don't want him starting. The fans will just blame it on the refs like always, but the PI and personal fouls he draws are blatant. |
Re: Eli Apple
Apple will be back soon, if not right away. Relax.

Re: Eli Apple
This is the best news of the day. That really looked like it could have been a serious knee injury.

Re: Eli Apple
Orlando Scandrick just got cut from the Eagles... 🤔
