DB should reclaim the offense after the bye. It will be ok to make him active for the cardinals game but TB should start. I believe it will be best for the franchise to let Drew Brees finish this season,,I know I might get blasted for this but I think its time to offer TB a contract to become the future.

If we win the SB this year, I want Brees to retire and we go with Teddy. Brees don't have much time left. Look at the situation in New England with a declined corpse of Brady; that would be our future. We need to win it all this year with Brees, then go with Bridgewater for the future. |

Sit this one out too Drew. We’ll get a fresh start after the bye.

He didn't sound as positive as I thought he would. Remember he deified the odds with his shoulder injury. He will comeback when he's healthy.

Bridgewater can be the future for another team. Hill or a draft pick for us. We won most of these games in spite of Teddy. Look, the guy is ok. Not what I want.

How many games have we won with Taysom Hill at QB? The guy’s done literally nothing in the NFL as a starting QB and you want him as our future QB?

Taysom Hill is better as a trick player. His inaccuracy would be glaring as a starter.
How long do you guys think we have with Brees? He declined pretty hard last year and we really don't know how good he's going to be coming back from this injury. Teddy could seriously be our future. I don't see Brees, Brady, Rodgers or whoever playing into their mid 40s. Brady is a corpse of his former self, looking a lot like 2015 Peyton Manning. THAT is what I dread the longer Brees carries on. These guys decline eventually with age. It just happens. |

Teddy isn't spectacular, but I disagree. I don't think we have won in spite of him. I think he has played pretty smart given the situation. Teddy has done, I think, exactly what he has been asked to do.

He also said winning another Lombardi wouldn't factor into any retirement decision.
Secondly, while Teddy has done a good job of filling in in the interim, he still can't hold Brees' jockstrap. I doubt we can keep him as Brees' backup and hope he finds a starting job elsewhere. |
