As for Teddy he is winning. Did you say trade Drew Brees when he was 5-0 and coming from a severe shoulder injury?
I get it, you love you some Teddy Bridgewater, so much in fact that you are replying to something I havent said. I have never said trade Drew, and if you can point out where I said trade Teddy you might have a discussion point.

The point that I made was that no player owns a record, its a team. You might be able to argue that a coach can own a record but no player does. If you want to hang 5-0 on Teddy enjoy brother...

As far as trades go, if the value is right you trade anyone.. Brees, Teddy, Kamara, anyone that you can get more value for you trade. We have traded players performing better than Teddy Bridewater in the past, and will do so in the future.

We are blessed to be 5-0 with Bridgewater starting. I would hate to see the bad karma coming our way if we traded Teddy. We got ahead of the curve by having a good backup QB, let's keep it that way.

Brees has a strict "no trade" clause in his contract.

And this is why players are choosing to remain loyal to their own self interests instead of franchises and fans.

Re: Trade Teddy @ Max Value

Every team that is eyeing Teddy knows he'll be available, and our only positives are that we shed that big contract and maybe get a comp pick in the 4th round range.

Redskins, Dolphins, panthers, Gengals, and Jax could be looking, but teams like the Bears, Vikings, Broncos and Titans might think they have a shot now. A team that thought they could win now would really be our chance to get any value

If a contending team calls about Teddy after Drew returns, do it. Only if a 1st round pick is offered though . Otherwise we’d be loosing a proven starting QB in 2020 for nada. Drew plans on playing for another 2 seasons at least. Is Teddy really gonna wait that long.

I think the timing of it lines up perfectly. If Teddy decides to “stay in a good situation again” after the season, it puts the team in an awkward position of having to move TB after the fans have fallen head over heels for him.

Then they’ll forever be dealing with “why’d you get rid of a QB who led us to 5 straight wins without Brees?!”

Problem as I see it, we have no clue what Drew's capabilities are when he gets back. Would be pretty risky for SP to let Teddy walk.

Overpaid?

How High Is Up?
How Long Is a Piece of String?
He's doing exactly what he was paid to do.
5 wins in a row 3 of those on the road and leading the division.
How much is that worth?

Re: Trade Teddy @ Max Value

I would make a crappy GM. I could NOT trade Teddy, and I could certainly not trade him to some crappy desperate team. I just couldn't do that to him. He didn't have to be here, and he has saved our bacon.

Nope. I just couldn't do it. I'd all but break the bank to keep him next year too.
