Bullcrap. None of the younger players would have wanted to quit trying. If they had then I don't want their asses on our team. They would actually have more respect for Brees' not wanting to quit. I want my team to do everything they can do to keep scoring. By the way, total points scored is a tiebreaker for playoff seeding, as is total number of touchdowns scored.
