Panthers add Gardner
The Panthers just made a trade with the Washington Redskins for Rod Gardner. He definately would have been a better fit here in New Orleans than Az Hakim. This now gives Carolina 3 pretty good receivers with good speed and most importantly... hands.

One bad year, and two good years....for a #2.
Relax saintswhodi, I would have posted something about Smith being their #1 receiver, whether Muhammed had been retained or not, but you beat me to it. |

Yes... Smith was their #1 receiver til he got hurt. If you can actually remember prior to Smith being injured, Carolina was going to put Muhammed on the chopping block. Prior to his fantastic season last year, he was known to be a inconsistent ball dropper. Let's see how he does in the Windy city with Rex Grossman as his quarterback. In that cold weather, I definately can see him revert back to his old habits.

One more thing...
2001 Carolina Panthers 11 11 50 585 11.7 43 1 7 1 26 2002 Carolina Panthers 14 14 63 823 13.1 42 3 17 1 40 2003 Carolina Panthers 15 15 54 837 15.5 60 3 18 2 37 That's hardly #1 receiver type numbers... Something else that I found pretty interesting... not only did Smith have a better 2003 year than Muhsin, he had a better 2002 year than him also. |

Man, it must be nice to actually check a fact before flying off the handle. Way to be considerate of others papz and looking up your info before attempting to check someone. Good job.
