I don't think the Pack has done anything to help themselves in this game. They're starting to look like the unchallenged team. Chargers just shutting their rumps down.

Pretty good day. If only Carolina would've lost today would've been perfect for our Saints.

I'm happy the Dolphins won and exposed Gase as a fraud to the final people that were still defending him.

Preferred the Bucs win, it'd give us some breathing room with the Seahawks...

Can always count on Jameis Winston to turn those "Ws" upside down...

Now we get to see if anyone in the AFC can challenge the Patriots, and the Ravens are built to challenge 'em...

The AFC as a whole is truly weak this year.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Baltimore or Houston or Indy giving the Patriots problems.

Ok, so the 49ers barely beat the Cardinals. Their schedule has been:

Bucs, Bengals, Steelers (without Rothlesburger), Browns, Rams (won 20-7), Redskins (won 9-0), Panthers (droped a 50 burger) and Cardinals (28-25).
The only comparable games are the Rams and Cardinals.
Saints lost to the Rams when we lost Drew Brees for 5 weeks and literally lost momentum after the refs stole a TD from us. We killed the Cardinals 31-9.

49ers beat the Rams 20-7, right after the Rams were exposed as a mediocre team.
49ers beat the Cardinals, got ahead and the Cards scored in the 4th and caught up, but the 49ers mounted an 11 play drive and ran the clock out.

Good news is we'll clash head to head with the 49ers in the Superdome. Also noticed the 49ers are a running team, which is our best strength on defense. We shut down the run and they'll have to pass their way to beat us and I'm not sure their QB is that good.

Don't forget that against the Cards, the 49ers were gift wrapped a TD before half time. All cause AZ's dumbass coach called a time out at 4th and goal when his team stopped them. Niners got a second try and punched it in the next time.

Both GB and SF are benefiting from easy schedules. The Packers were fully exposed today. SF's time is coming too.

I watched a few of the NFL games today and came away with one conclusion. Is it just me or are the Saints playing on a different level than most of the other NFL teams.

Baltimore rushed for over 200 yards on the vaunted Pats defense who were off to a historic start, now that has been shattered tonight.

New England has 3 major weaknesses -

#1 - Their 42 year old QB. Anyone who thinks Brady is going to play again next year needs to watch some tape. He is done. This wasn't even that ugly of a game as it could've been if Baltimore continued blitzing.

#2 - Lack of WRs, something that I felt would be a problem for them as the year went on.

#3 - Run defense. Finally, someone has put it on full display how easy it is to run against the Pats.

Re: Saints Bye Week Game Day Thread

Hats off to Baltimore....

Can they walk the walk and back up the talk by beating New England again in the playoffs?

No team has done it since the Peyton Manning Broncos.. But before them, the Ravens did manage to beat the Pats twice at Foxboro, and they also had them down for the count in the 2014 playoffs until Joe Flacco threw that dumb dumb DUMB interception to screw it all up for them.

Offensively they are terrible.

Trubisky is not long for this league in my opinion. Watched a couple of Bear games recently and he is awful. Too soon for the Bears to give up on him completely, but not sure how much longer they can hang in there either.

Trubisky is garbage but Nagy makes him worse.

As long as he's the Head Coach for Chicago, they will struggle at QB. He's too stubborn as as a coach. Drop 2 more games (still have to play GB, Rams, Detroit, Cowboys) it could get ugly and possibly miss out on the post season. The NFC as a who is tough this year.

If Pace doesn't get it together, he'll be out as GM. Remember Trubisky was his guy in the draft.

Here's what "NFL" EGGSPURT Lance Zierlein had to say:

There has been plenty of negative publicity about this season's quarterback class, but it's deeper than the 2015 class that produced Winston and Mariota. Deshaun Watson has given the ball away too frequently over the last three years, but good luck getting his back-to-back performances against Alabama defenses out of your head.

Mitchell Trubisky doesn't have much experience, but there are several boxes he is going to check from a physical standpoint. Patrick Mahomes and Deshone Kizer would have likely been first-round locks in the 2018 draft had they stayed in school, but they still have the traits and talent to get early round consideration this year. Oh, and Pittsburgh's Nathan Peterman might be the Kirk Cousins of this year's draft. It's not a great class, but it has potential.

REMEMBER! "Pace has them on the BRINK" DOINK, DOINK!!

Possibly is actually probably. They're 12th in the NFC

Defensive Tackle Akiem Hicks is on injured reserve...

Jordan Howard is in Philadelphia...

Right Guard Kyle Long is on injured reserve...

Fmr Center Cody Whitehair is now at Left Guard...

And General Principles of Physics and Dynamics seems lost on Matt Nagy as he's trying to use Tarik Cohen, a 5 ft, 6 in 179 lbs as an everydown RB...

One hit wonder.

Just from watching the Bears the last few weeks, it appears that these guys on offense seem confused with his scheme. Take yesterday for example ... he runs (Montgomery) only 3 times in the FIRST HALF. Then after halftime, he runs his back 15 times. Why they got rid of Jordan Howard (has more TD's than Mitch) beats me.

It's hard to be effective passing the ball (Nagy doesn't trust Mitch) when you can't run the ball. His play calling has been suspect for weeks now. Too much trickery/formations .. only one guy I know that can pull that off consistently and he's the head coach in New Orleans. When you develop your QB on trick plays he does not learn defenses but learns trick plays.

Allen Robinson is the only trusted guy I see on offense but he can't do it by himself. It's a mess up there.

Coach of the Year is a joke award.

Let me remind you that Jason Garrett won it in 2016 when the Cowboys went 13-3 and... yeah.... one and done in the playoffs.

Nagy is out of sorts this year. He couldn't even position the ball between the hashes for his kicker for a game-winning FG with ample time and a time-out still in his pocket.

I loved it last week when he had 40 seconds on the clock and decided to kneel. Backing them up an additional yard and not even bothering trying to get closer for an easier kick in distance with 40 seconds to go.
