Saints’ Michael Thomas becomes fastest player to 400 receptions in NFL history
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has made a habit of catching passes over his first four seasons in the league. On Sunday, he became the quickest receiver in league history to accrue 400 career receptions, doing so during his 56th contest.
Thomas entered the day leading the league in catches (73), receiving yards (875) and receiving yards per game (109.4). He compiled those numbers with Teddy Bridgewater under center for a large portion of the season while Drew Brees (thumb) missed time due to injury. Throughout his career, Thomas has benefited from running routes with Brees as his signal caller. New Orleans snagged Thomas in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft after he played at Ohio State. Almost immediately, he made an impact for the Saints, hauling in 92 receptions and nine touchdowns as a rookie. His ascension up the league ranks has continued from there. A large reason that Thomas has been able to compile so many catches is his impeccable durability. Having missed just one game in his professional career entering Sunday, he has become a favored target of Brees due to his staggering blend of athleticism and steady hands. Thomas led the league in receptions last season with 125. Barring injury, he appears on pace to finish in the Top 3 in the league again this year, although it’ll take some impressive efforts from others to unseat him atop the leaderboard. Having been named an All-Pro for the first time in 2018, the Saints’ history-making receiver appears in line to do so again in 2019. https://clutchpoints.com/saints-news...sl1Q4TFsdgk0wQ Even after a loss like todays game I still find some joy in watching MT play. He is extraordinary and now has his 4th straight 1 000yd receiving season. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Saints’ Michael Thomas becomes fastest player to 400 receptions in NFL history
MT is a special kind of player. He plays w a chip on his shoulder, just like all the other greats. He knows how to motivate himself and not just on game day. He uses self-reflection or external stimulation to push himself everyday. He,s the kind of guy that will be successful no matter what he does.

That's what happens when you are the only receiver for a HOF QB.
