This wouldn't surprise me. You can only carry so many players on the 53 man roster. If one room had a bug run through it you would be forced to play sick players. Trying to replace those players with someone off the street or from the practice squad would not be an option since it would involve cutting some of those players. You would pretty much just have to play the game and hope for the best.

Re: Peat out 6 weeks
Peat spends more time on his seat than his feet. After every play he is getting up off the ground. I won't miss him next year. I just hope we can replace his minimal protection with a backup who won't give up much more pressure than Peat.

Re: Peat out 6 weeks
Well we didn’t sign anybody this week, so now we wait to hear if it’s Clapp, Easton or Omameh starting.

Re: Peat out 6 weeks
If there was a better option out there they would have already been gobbled up. We aren't the only team with OL issues. Half the teams in the league are playing with backups on the OL.

Re: Peat out 6 weeks
Man, what's going on with the healthcare and dietary services for the Saints?!?
Few years ago, we went through a string of sports hernias... That was followed by an inability to read, diagnose x-ray, CT, and MRI images... Then we were missing cardiac issues in general physicals, but on professional athletes... Now, we seem to have a problem with bugs floating around either the food or locker room... But it always seems to systematic and not isolated - WTF?!? |

Buccaneers: 3 players diagnosed with MRSA - USA Today Oct 11, 2013 - Buccaneers: 3 players diagnosed with MRSA. Another Tampa Buccaneers player has been diagnosed with an MRSA infection, the team said Friday, one day after acknowledging guard Carl Nicks' infection has returned. ...
