I bet some of you Were on Marcus Williams is trash train, the Malcolm Jenkins is trash train, But couldn't wait for Paul Krueger and Rishard Matthews. Players develop differently.....Trey is finally coming into his own and it's his third year he should be ahead of Davenport. Sacks aren't the only signs of a good pass rusher. If he's a bust then it is what it is. But Trey isn't the answer either they'll be drafting another PR if they feel like Davenport isn't what they thought he could be

It's all up e Marcus one thing for sure is he needs to WATCH tape on himself and the elite of the elite Pass Rushers.... Because what ever is being taught to him isn't sticking......he should have at least 10 sacks right now. Reggie White LT Von Miller Cameron Jordan Julius Peppers.....

His 1st step is usually slow...he who hesitates is lost. The only time I've seen him quick is on 3rd & really long where everybody knows it's a pass.
Teams have run to his side on passing downs or the QB escapes for big runs on his side...recent example was the 23 yd by Winston. He's pushed the pocket but loses contain which has burned us. He needs more film work. He needs to study more. |

Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: Saints snap counts, Week 11: Was Marcus Davenport demoted?
Don't care how Payton spins it, you spent that much draft capital on a guy that's not on the field as much as Cam Jordan (Cam cost one first round pick) then Payton's draft management should be questioned...
Davenport's responsibility is to be in the best shape he can be, be fully prepared in film study and game-specific scheme for that week, and play 100% to his abilities... The fact that Payton stupidly overspent on the draft pick is not on Davenport, nor should it be, it's on Payton... That said, I'd like to see more of the Davenport that flashed earlier in the season, but he's only had one game where he saw 50+ snaps - one; and that has to be concerning for all who love the Saints... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
