Re: Saints make a series of transactions, send wide receiver Austin Carr to reserve/injured list
Definitely has a track record of the athleticism on the field...
Played Quarterback, so he should be able to pick up the TE role in the offense... Not the speedster we need at the very thin WR position, oh well, athletic TE should be interesting |

Re: Saints make a series of transactions, send wide receiver Austin Carr to reserve/injured list
I guess Carr has played his last game in a Saints uniform. Four tight ends? That's a first if my memory serves me correctly! With Drew getting up there in age throwing fewer deep balls and a new QB in the next couple of year this might be the wave of the future.
We had good luck with Taysom and this new kid looks like another top notch athlete that could compete with Dan Arnold. Cook is playing noticeably better. Josh Hill has improved each year but I don't consider him a threat. |

Josh Hill is a threat when he is the second guy that gets overlooked. He will not stretch the field and make big plays regularly but he is a good blocker and athletic enough to hurt you underneath when he gets the chance.

The funny thing with Vander Laan is that I scouted him to play for "my" club in Sweden back when he was a freshman in college. We had a QB from Ferris State back in 2006-2007 playing for us who gave us a heads up but we none of us ever thought he'd be in the NFL.
