Anyone else missing Ingram?
I wished the Saints would have kept him.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I do. seeing him play for the ravens is heart breaking. not only was he a reliable runner but he also had the charisma that flourish in the locker room. Watching how the ravens interacts with each other make me wonder if that because of the character of Ingram. Not that Murray didn't handle the rock when called on but I wish the saints would've signed him(Ingram) before letting him become a free agent

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Every now and again I see his highlights, he's having a very good season for the Ravens.
However, I think a lot of it is the by product that Lamar is so dynamic, Ingram isnt seeing the normal defensive stacks he'd usually get. Not to take anything away from him, but Lamar is really taking a lot of pressure off of him. Ingram was great for us in the regular season, but 2 straight playoff seasons he disappeared when we needed him most. Very good player, great guy to have on your team - in terms of missing him, meh...not massively. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Any two bit RB playing with Lamar would look better than average. 28 is good and underutilized. Happy for Ingram nonetheless.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Frustrating that we spent that kind of draft capital for him not to have a 1000 RuYd season until his veteran contract, then after honing and developing him as a terrific weapon for our offense, we let him go?!?
What...the...f*ck?!? |

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Don’t miss him. Glad for what we got from him but he wanted out as proven by his leaving for very little more than we offered. I predicted he would have a good year for Ravens. Good for him. I am very happy with our guys!
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Miss him how? I miss him as a hype man/companion to AK & overall good teammate. From a performance standpoint Murray is as good as his is given opportunities from a production sense so I don't miss MI there. I liked Ingram the last few years, and I wish him well, as long as he's not playing our squad.

The Whine list sir?
Allow me to suggest the always popular 2019 SHOULDATHAY this season! |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
He’s reaping the benefits of a running QB that is all. He’d be the same o same o here. Glad for him though . Simple analytics told him to go there.

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Absolutely. If we don’t get there I hope he gets a ring with the Ravens this year.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I don’t know… To me he seem like he was really hitting stride the last couple of seasons… I wonder if he would’ve made that fourth down Sunday ?

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
He was money in the screen game and blocking. I never considered him a good b/t the tackle RB. LM is more of a punisher which is really what we needed. Someone to wear down defenders. Nobody wants to get near LM in the second tier with that size and speed. Sometimes it looks like they say screw that.

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I admittedly have developed a bit of a soft spot for the Ravens. They took down the 49ers in the Super Bowl and ever since then some of our former players do tend to turn up there - Watson, Snead and Ingram. IIRC they also had a huge part in helping us discover Lutz. It's icing on the cake to see them beat other teams I don't care for and see Ingram and Snead doing well.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
He sure won’t be missing us when he’s wearing that ring at the end of the season
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
No Murray is doing well!
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I just wish Payton would give the ball more to Murray. I don't know the statistics, but it seems like Payton gave the ball to Ingram a lot more than Murray.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I would have preferred we kept Ingram, but Murray is doing a great job in the backfield. He will take us as far as Ingram would have, so I've gotten over my initial disappointment.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Liked Ingram with Kamara they obviously had chemistry but he, Ingram moved on, wish him the best.
Murray is great fit with a different running style, he can pound the line and get the hard yards but his open field runs are fun to watch. If it were not for a couple of really questionable calls that negated some 20+ yard touchdowns I think more people would recognize what he bring to the game. Maybe coach would one of those :-)]) |

Payton gave up way too early on Snead. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I miss him. Great personality. I do like Murray though.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
As a personality, yes. He seems like a good guy. Easy to root for.
But on the field, I think Murray's doing everything he's asked to do and doing it well. He wanted out, probably to be a bell cow. I wish him the best. |

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Most already know how I feel about Mark. Never wanted him to leave NO. Always gave 100% effort on every play and was a team guy.
But he's a Raven now so there's that. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
He chose to leave. We made a competitive offer but he and his agent chose Baltimore.
Can't blame him. He was unfairly hated by many Saints fans, some even post here frequently. I'm glad he's somewhere that appreciates him. I hope we have a Ravens vs Saints Superbowl. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Not really.
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Nope. I probably had too high expectations for him coming out of college as a Heisman winner. Seems to be a great guy but in my eyes he was never more than adequate for us.

A DUI to start his final season in NO and subsequent 3 game suspension, then shows up out of shape and into Sean's dog house. In 2017 he pretty much disappeared production wise. Saints front office gave a undrafted guy 3 years. Sometimes a change of scenery and a wake up call is best for some players. It appears to have worked for Slick Willie. Good for him. He's a Raven now so there's that. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Ingram brought a fire to the offense that's missing.

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I think some are reading way too much into this Kamara "not himself" thing.
Just in the Tampa game we saw him and coach talking, drawing up plays on the bench. I'm sure he misses Mark like most most do. That energy was a huge + for team but he's a Raven now. Beloved players and "fan favorites" leave all the time. Kamara seems to be pretty close with Lattimore and CGM as well. You never know but there could be other things going on in his life right now. Alvin has always been a bit enigmatic, and trying to play an armchair psychiatrist isn't just unfair to him but it's not going to be successful. |
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Kamara was out with ankle and knee injuries but did we know to what extent. Could have slowed him down a bit until he is 100%. One thing he may consider is limiting the Circus Dives, they are a quick way to shorten a career.

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Ingram has been getting a lot of airtime and soundbytes since going to the Ravens.

Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
Yes. I miss him! Apparently AK does too....
|
Re: Anyone else missing Ingram?
I have been saying this from the highlights that I have sen and after watching him against the 49ers I wasn't wrong.
Ingarm is running behind a line built for a running game, I am not saying he is a bad RB he just isn't a standout if there aren't huge holes to run through. Watch his highlights, he has some very wide holes to run through untouched. His tantrums and animation after runs was more entertaining than we get now after Murry but the yards after contact isn't more. Ingram gets 1/2 a yard more per carry but Murry has 8+ in the box 14% more than Ingram does... Ingram is being out run by his QB and Rookie Gus Edwards. Ingram has 2 fumbles,Murry has 0. Do you really miss another man? Call him. |
