Worst case - #3 seed

Re: Worst case - #3 seed
Wins by 2 home teams - the Seahawks over the Vikings and the Ravens over the 49ers would make both teams and the Saints 10-2
Based off of head-head, the Seahawks would be the West leader and would lose the tiebreaker to the Saints (head to head) That scenario would make us the leader for HFA going into the Niners game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/mach...~2~401128070~2 |

Just beat the 49ers and our percentage to get the 2nd seed would be practically guaranteed

Re: Worst case - #3 seed
The Saints and all the other 32 teams play 16 not 12 games
|
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
A seahawks win Monday night = Saints leading the HFA race

I'll be honest....we need HFA if we want to go deep into the playoffs.
|
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
We control our own destiny right now. We win and we are the 1 seed... we lose and we’ll need some other teams to make something happen.
I also agree, we need home field in the playoffs. Traveling to SF or Seattle won’t go over well. |

I'm just a couch GM but this team is good enough to win ugly, pretty, barely and also in dominant fashion. That "perfect" game is coming. It could happen on Sunday. Jimmy Garropolo isn't prime time yet. |
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
This is a very good Saints team. We win despite tons of penalties and numerous mental lapses by our players game in game out. This team would be near unstoppable if we clean things up. Kinda getting tired of hearing coach Payton after every game talking about cleaning things up.
Get it done already. |
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
I have faith in Wilson. He's playing extremely smart football right now. I also like our 49er game. Look what happened to the 49ers when they face a stout run D. They can barely function.

Re: Worst case - #3 seed
Obviously easier at home, but we are 5-1 on the road. Next week really determines everything; even with SF's tough schedule we cannot lose next week and be two games behind with three to play if we expect to be #1

Re: Worst case - #3 seed
The Saints seemed to let go of the throttle when Drew came back
or maybe it was teams scheming better. There was a sense of urgency when Teddy was running the ship - we needed to win |
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
10 mins until we are in the lead for HFA...

Re: Worst case - #3 seed
SF going down.
|
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
And the Saints are now in the lead for HFA.
DON'T BLOW IT |
Re: Worst case - #3 seed
We can take care the the 49ers. Heavy run team. Shore up Kittle and it's over with.

SF is our toughest test. We get out of that, we should be good to go with Carolina having nothing but pride to play for. I may be fine with losing to Indy or Tennessee over SF and Carolina. Is Seattle likely to win out? Is GB likely to win in Minnesota? |
