Re: Sean Payton on Saints' onside kick problems: 'We're going to have to fix that, obviously'
Of course the downside of having this problem, is that some joker in the playoffs or a crucial game, is almost certainly going to try and pull a Sean Payton on Sean Payton himself -- don't be surprised if San Francisco or Pete Carroll or somebody actually kicks an onside kick against us in a weird place, to start the game, to start the second half, or in an unusual circumstance. Because they've seen that it might work against us. Hold onto your hats everybody, the rest of the year. Somebody is going to try and punk Sean Payton with his own most famous play. The coach from Jacksonville tried it against the Saints in preseason a couple of years ago. Second half onside kick, just like our Super Bowl play.

Re: Sean Payton on Saints' onside kick problems: 'We're going to have to fix that, obviously'
Granted the Saints receivers could hardly catch a pass, and we looked totally gassed against Atlanta on the short week, but the onside kicks looked horrible. Our "Hands" team looked like a "no thumbs" team... and gassed too, like nobody made an effort to go get the damn ball.

The Atlanta kicker demonstrated the way to get the desired hop on the kick. New England used it against the Texans. Speaking of New England VS Texans anyone else feel the Pats quit? There was no urgency demonstrated on their last TD drive.

Half the Pats team was suffering from the flu. They actually chartered two separate planes for the trip to Houston. One with all the healthy players and staff and the other with all the sick ones. I also heard that the teams cannot make players get flu shots because of the CBA. They can ask the players and try to educate them, but there are always players that refuse to protect themselves and their teammates.
