Alright sick of the Negativity(including my own) the Shy Tuttle and Deonte Harris thread

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Noticed how Shanahan lined up their rookie Samuels all over the field yesterday? SP needs to do the same with Deonte Harris . He can change the momentum of a game on one play....

Outside of the fake punt call, I was also very happy with the way Payton used Taysom in the offense yesterday. He had some nice blocks on a few plays.

And speaking of nice blocks, Easton seems to be really doing solid work at the guard spot.

Shy Tuttle will make it way easier for Onyemata to leave as a free agent after this season.

I'm just a arm chair GM but I'd allow guys like Peat, Ginn, Apple & PJ walk and try and retain David O. He's gotten progressively better each year & should be a priority. As for Rankins, I'd also be very careful on letting him go after the season. He's battled injuries but the last thing you'd hate is that Shimmy turns into another Akiem Hicks type player.

Side note - we need more quality young DB's either via FA or the 2020 draft.

Nick Easton ...

Didn't hear his name called (holding penalty) once against arguably the best defensive front 7 in the league.

I don't know the return status of Peat, however I'd leave Nick in the starting rotation.

Agree with Easton

I'm always in the mind frame of the injured player needs to win back his starting place(with a few obvious exceptions)

Tuttle was such a value find...he is only gonna get stronger mixed with big game experience. Retaining Shimmy & Oneymata along with Brown is near automatic running game deletion for years. We can focus on other areas in FA & the draft during that time.

Harris will also get stronger so he can HOLD ON TO THE BALL. That's my only bugaboo with him. Outside of that, he is an absolute monster in the return game...kinda like a mini version of Beer Man.

Love your take on Harris vs Beer Man. Beer Man had good speed, good vision, mixed with very good blocking. Harris has all of dat but his quickness/shiftiness is on another level. Like you stated, his only weakness is ball security. Which is huge and can potentially offset all his attributes. Because TO’s don’t fly with Payton.
I’m glad the staff gives him the green light.

Tuttle is great. We still need Onyemata signed even if that mean not signing a player like Patrick Peterson
