Nola.com: Saints rookie C.J. Gardner-Johnson providing local foster kids something money can't buy
Really incredible story about CJGJ here:
https://www.nola.com/sports/saints/a...mpression=true It’s not just about being there for the kids, Gardner-Johnson said, but being there with open arms. If his mom could bring kids into the family without her son realizing anything was out of the ordinary, he could do it the same way. “These girls have been through some really tough situations, obviously,” Goldbeck-Chambers said. “For somebody to say, ‘You’re loved, I’ve got your back, I believe in you so you can believe in yourself,’ you can’t buy that. You really can’t.” |
"When you get into one of these groups, there's only a couple of ways you can get out. One, is death; the other, is mental institutions."

Considering his style of play I'm a little surprised by this. I'm glad he chose to help the children....they are the future and we need to make it bright for them.
