Honestly, Marcus and Apple have been the weak spots of the D anyway. Kind of ironic that as soon as those guys went out, our D forced 5 straight 3 and outs vs Titans.
Good to see Warford and Kiko getting healthier, rest them for one more week and hopefully they can be good to go in the playoffs. |

Re: Eli Apple, Marcus Williams sit out on first Saints-Panthers injury report
I get people saying Apple played well at the beginning if the year. There is actually a phrase that describes the phenomenon, its called 'inconstant play'.. I gain zero solace from how Apple performed in the start of the year. We have a division game and the rest are play offs, no time to get ones **** together.
Furthermore if it was his play that was the issue, that's manageable.. its his lack of play or rather a shift from coverage to outright mugging that is the huge issue. More than one QB has just thrown it up knowing Apple will give them a 1st down with a PI mugging on uncatchable balls that would have been 4th down. . |

That is a scary report . Hope someone steps up and takes some pressure of Thomas’s if he’s still banged up because I have zero faith in any of our other receivers. Thank god for Cook and Taysom but they can only take us so far.

Wonder if we are better off just accepting the 3 seed and using Sunday as a bye for our starters.

Taysom Hill at QB for the whole game. I'd love to see it.

Bell, M Williams and Eli all out on Sunday ... Swearinger, Shead and Janoris will get some good playing time.
However having a healthy (Peat and Warford full friday practice) O line is HUGE. Games are still won in those trenches. |
