Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Who threw passes for him, the machine, Brees, Teddy, or Taysom?
If it was one of the three I wonder what their thoughts are. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I can see the meeting between Payton and Brown. My guess is payton told him this was his last chance and he wouold show him to the door quicker than New England. I'm sure that the team will assign him a body guard/manager who is with him 24 hours a day and he will decide on any outgoing media before it hits the public eye, He has to bow to the coaches and take anger management courses. No guarantees at all by the Saints but lots of concessions by Brown. If that was the deal then I'm down. However, just one incident should get him fired. Give him good warning up front like Bear Bryant would!

Shell games.
"I probably was not telling you the truth a few months ago," Payton said to reporters Friday afternoon. "But look, I think it is important that we have done this at other positions and we're looking closely all the time at who are the players available and how can they help us. Especially as we get ready here for this postseason. "That was the purpose of today with the receiver position. We've done it really throughout the course of the season at other positions." https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/s...rial-receiver/ |

I think we are in a holding pattern until the league office tells Saints what the commissioner's list decision will/would be concerning AB. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
According to the Score, we were not going to sign him. SP wants to move forward with what he has.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
He wasn't signed. Just about every comment in this thread is correct to a certain extet. I say to an extent because possibilities are endless and they are just that, possibilities.. like it is possible that Goodell could do the Saints a favor and let the team know what his intentions are. (if you just chuckled then you understand)
Its when the probabilities come in to play and you realize that Goodell has never done the Saints a favor, and the league has never done anything to make them a better team. I originally stated that this was not a this year item because it isn't, if there was a probability it is for next year. Loomis will not sign AB without knowing what the Commissioner's intentions are. The Commissioner is not going to announce his attentions because the league has enough fights on its hands and telegraphing that AB will be on the exempt list is asking for a media fire storm and speculations of racism etc... who needs that crap. The commissioner MUST investigate and cant let AB just walk or risk having every women's rights and anti abuse league/group screaming in the media. The Commissioners list was not intended to be a punishment it was intended to be a pause while there is an investigation. This is a next year thing if at all because there is no time for due diligence on all sides to satisfy professionalism as well as public scrutiny. |
