Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
He posted the waiver he signed to workout for the team...
https://i.redd.it/fbyv08uqc6741.jpg What say you Saints fans? Is this going to be disastrous if we’re really going down this road? |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Just seen this
He's crazy But if we can keep him quiet and he realises that this is last chance saloon it could be gold |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Signing him makes the Saints more dangerous; plus MT is dealing with a hand injury.

But would AB last through the Tournament when he couldn't last two weeks with Bill Belichick and the Patriots? Do we want that drama during a Tournament Run? |

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I've been screaming for a legit THREAT opposite CGM for months now.
Maybe Payton secretly reads B&G forum :D. Saints don't just bring in a ELITE WR like AB for a "work out". Loomis plans on signing this dude. I'm down for whatever the brain trust see's fit. I lost all faith in Tre/Ginn back in September with weekly no show type performances. Mike will need help in the playoffs. |

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I don’t think we’re messing around about getting to the Super Bowl this year. In the past we would just roll with what we have and come up short. Claiming Janoris Jenkins was very much unlike us, but we did it because we’re not taking any chances. Signing AB seems dangerous to the team’s chemistry, but I think we’re going all in.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I thought AB had pending "legal" issues though? Surely Roger won't allow (exempt list) AB to play for us during the playoffs. Right?
Due diligence by the Saints I suppose. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Not feeling good about his distractions...agreed we need someone

Hate the idea but life has been pretty boring lately, so what the hell.

Roger will throw a wrench in the gears of the investigation and make him eligible to return the day after the Superbowl

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I would take AB in a heartbeat.
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Curious to know how he reacts when Thomas is targeted more in a game than he is. Nothing wrong with kicking the tires but would be SHOCKED if this is a long term solution.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Nope.......dude is a mental case. Cant leave social media alone. Goes on strange rants. I mean 2 secs at the facility, he post the waiver. Btw it has already been taken down.
I understand we need a WR and I understand the X's and O's AB can bring, but damm the headaches he is going to bring can be detrimental to a team. The Patriots of all teams who badly need WR help said naw we will move forward without you. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Ugh. This guy is such a dick! I agree we need a other receiver, but Brown? Yuck.
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
"Crazy" (off the field) Antonio Brown gives us legit chance at superbowl. Now imagine Austin Carr/Smith/Ginn running routes on crucial 3rd downs in playoffs and then replace them with Antonio Brown (probably best footwork in football). I'll take that chance.
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
If MT is hurt or goes down this is the only possible way to mitigate it. There is no more flight line left to fix it. Nobody else has 1/4 of MT's skill except AB.
Do it. High risk AB could screw us over but if MT is hurt we are screwed anyway. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Michael Thomas defended AB in the past (when steelers traded him...) so there would be no problems between those guys.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
While I don't like Antonio Brown as a person, I can't deny he's a good WR. I also don't think he's as crazy as he's being portrayed by the media. I think a lot of what he did with the Raiders was on purpose to get released. Belichick and AB probably had that **** planned out. I think he is however a complete narcissist. If any coach can keep his personality from affecting the team and get him on board with being a team member and trying to win games, I think it'd be Sean Payton. I think it'd be worth the risk. If he doesn't come in and screw up the locker room, him and MT together would be unstoppable. We'd score every drive.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Perfect. Gives us the quick strike immediately. Our O just went over the top. Sign him.

Some of y'all have to be the worse fans ever
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Why now?
we are late in the game for him to come in and make a impact... really hesitant to trust him running the right routs and being in the right spots. We all know if Brees doesn't trust you, you don't get the ball. |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Does this workout come with a lobotomy? Can we somehow convince AB that it's 1964 and there is no social media? Maybe this is really only good to light a fire under Ginn and the other WR's not named Mike.
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I just hope that he doesn't try farting in Drew Brees' face.
|
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Not many will be rooting for us in the playoffs I know that much. Oh well...let's get this last stone.

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
I think we just tell him to keep his head down and help us for a couple of games and he gets a Super Bowl ring. After that he can go on and act a fool again all he wants. Seems like good enough incentive for him.

Saints just put a WR (Hogan) on season ending IR. We had some "other guys" in for a work this morning so surely they sign someone. Saints may also want to know where AB's head is at or to keep this guy off another team's (GB, Seattle, Philly etc) roster as we head into the post season. BTW, once the playoffs start the league pays the players so zero risk financially by the Saints. Or just maybe SP wants to give the league (push the NFL to make a decision on AB) the middle finger. It's just me but I don't see how AB plays a down in New Orleans. STUD WR but a ticking time bomb. To be continued ... "I'm on to Carolina". |
Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Hope Brees arm holds up throwing to Brown and Thomas and Cook and Kamara. Oh and Murry should be able to run wild with opposing D's fearing to load the box. I'm liking this more and more.
