Re: Offensive player of the year: Michael Thomas
Happy for Thomas, but I wouldn't have been upset if McCaffrey got it, both had equally impressive seasons...
Told some of the press corps if folks actually voted their conscience, as opposed to strategic voting, both would have gotten it... But Mike Thomas has worked his arse off, and most impressively, set aside his Big Mo contract, and actually intensified his focus, work ethic... |

Not discounting what Mike Thomas did. On the PFT website Smash cited, San Fran fans are giving him respect and said there will be a "cloud-13" defense to deny him the ball should the Saints make it to San Fran... |

Supped up Marcus Colston. We went from a tricked out El Camino to a entry level Lotus super sports car. He's not a Ferrari but can be depending on the driver.

Re: Offensive player of the year: Michael Thomas
Put this in careful perspective ..
1. CGM has more catches and more targets against MAN coverage than any other WR in the league. 2. He's too polished of a route runner for corners to keep up on off technique. 3. He's too physical for corners when they press. 4. He has violent hands. Even when a select few select corners has good coverage, Mike's ball skills are so elite, he still can make the contested catch. IMO, the closest comparison I have is Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. Not the fastest guy but can make plays with superior route running, violent/great hands and physicality at the position. Blows my mind the media doesn't praise Mike more as being the best/most complete WR in the NFL. |
