Research has shown that teams with lighter color uniforms get less penalties against them on average. This can’t overcome corrupt referees with preexisting gambling interests, but the lighter uniforms may help us with the minority or refs who are not on the take. I know people like the look of black uniforms better to stand outs, its like driving a fast car, but sometimes its smarter to drive the beige SUV and get less speeding tickets or wear the white uniforms and get less holding calls.
