Completely agree.

Not to mention with the NASCAR packages you often see three (or more) true DE's on the field at the same time.

Re: 2020 NFL Draft: Saints Prospects

In my opinion the lack of pressure after both Davenport and Rankins went down contributed more to the big plays down field than any breakdowns in the secondary. Even the best of DB's have a problem staying with a good receiver 30-40 yards down field if the QB has time to make the throw. Having more quality depth all across the defensive line is needed.

Malcolm Brown really disappeared down the stretch last season - in training camp he was wowing all the local media columnists...

Yes sir, and with Sheldon Rankins going into the last year of his deal I think D-Line depth is a sneaky need. This is a terrible draft class for edge rushers unfortunately.

Wisconsin LB Zack Baun... Now this guy has my attention. He was a 3-4 OLB but showed tremendous agility and football IQ dropping back and playing in space. Some are saying he could thrive as a Lorenzo Alexander type who lines up as a 4-3 Sam LB who can also rush the passer in sub-packages.

That’s true. We don’t seem to have the ability to utilize those hybrid front seven players.

Netane Muti - OG Fresno State

Not a sexy draft pick but we really need to improve in the trenches.

The Good : He's nasty, an animal, naturally powerful & moved D lineman against their will vs Bama as a freshman. Some have compared him to Quenton Nelson ... that's ridiculously high praise.

The Bad: He's injury prone, not durable, could miss a lot of games.
Did I mention he's injury prone? ....
