Peat's been injured for two years. Coaches have to feel comfortable with his health and role in the offense.

So I ask you - Who ELSE are you signing?

In all honesty, I’m not surprised because there aren’t many options. There are no guards available in free agency and it’s a bad draft for guards. We could have rolled with Easton but Peat gives us back-up LT ability too.

Exactly. I was actually expecting this when the few decent guards got gobbled up quickly.

I'll add this one little caveat about the Peat signing, don't think Drew doesn't trust Peat that he didn't give a serious discount on his contract as well to make sure this got done...

Holy double negative JP, so you mean to say Brees gave a discount on his deal in order for the Saints to be able to re-sign Peat?!
