Your right in the aspect he's shown nothing to be a starting qb. but in his defense he hasn't been under C an entire game yet either. I do know when he's on the field under C, defenses don't have a clue to do with him. Being compared to Steve Young really isn't a joke. He will never be a Drew Brees but how many really will when it's said and done?

When under center most of his plays have been exotic plays. How many have been traditional in count and distance? When has he ran an entire series against a regular season defense?

Exactly. So judging him in either way until he has a greater body of work is pointless at this stage. I really would like to see him under C, but just like any (rookie basically) qb. he's going to have growing pains, Brees will be here this season I never thought he wouldn't, but if he gets hurt or starts blowing games with his arm I would like to see a mobile qb with wheels to keep plays alive behind C.
