Re: USA Today/Saints Wire: 3 'go for broke' big free agent signings the Saints could pursue in 2020
Amari Cooper? ...essentially 2 #1 WR's on the roster? One year rental? Yes please.
The need at WR is way past due. This has been ignored far too long. When healthy, Amari is a beast and is a superior route runner. But for him to land in NO is wishful thinking on my part. |

Like the idea of upgrading RG with Brandon Scherff, letting Easton, Clapp, Draft Pick To Be Named to upgrade the LG position...
Definitely need to sign a WR-Z, but Cooper tends to disappear in games... Isn't A.J. Green going to be a FA? Payton likes to roll the dice with medicals. Seems like a perfect match... |

We have a top D-line when we're healthy.
We definitely need another receiver! On a one year deal he'd be a very valuable chess piece for Payton. Please please replace Warford. He's OK at best but he ain't great. Our guards are a huge reason we don't have a run game and Drew looks like a deer in the headlights. |

I don't think it's a good idea to go for broke this offseason. I'd rather take a guarded approach and think long-term and not put ourselves in cap hell in coming years. Yes I know Mickey can work magic with the cap but let's not push it too far.

A 'go broke' list... We are already broke and don't have any QB signed... lol
I am not sure how Mickey does it this year, but I don't expect any big signings. We will be lucky to keep some of our better players, and that banks on some players re-structuring. |

We need to trade or cut the ones that seem to have lost there heart.ala (peat) draft young, with speed on defense it seems what’s coming back to the nfl linebackers with speed to close. And edge rusher that has athleticism not just not straight ahead pursuit.
