Benson OK with cutting Sullivan
Kenny and Bobby just reported that they heard Benson has told the front office that if they think Sullivan is a problem, he's OK with them releasing him.
Sullivan is a goner! I think they cut him this year. WWL radio, no link. |

well, he was right to an extent...............he got the money and has done absolutely nothing to earn it other than the fact he thought it was owed to him............these kind of guys need to be made an example of....... show his azz the road as they should of a year ago.............. every team gets em, but come on.........take your loses and move on... if this guy had any heart, i would never even comment on this, but here is a guy continuing to get the money and not doing his job.......... take the loss and move on, there are guys out there who would play for next to nothing to get the shot he got.......smitty ps-------------devery should not be too far behind if he can't cut it either. i'm tired of this as a fan and i know it takes time to develope, but if the effort is not there, the money should not be either............ |

Buh-Bye sully!
To all of those who think Benson is a tight-wad this move, Hell this entire off-season disproves that. |

Well I don'tmind cutting sully -- but if he really came to camp at 320 I would at least wait until the end of preseason -- maybe he is ready to play

Or, if you didn't like that last one, I have this...

I would also give Sully the entire preseason. If he has turned the corner, he will be a good talent to have in the DT rotation. If he proves to be, well the Old Sully, cut him on the final roster cut. This would reduce his chances of catching on with another team. Kind of a payback, and a thank you for nothing...
As for Devery, if he still does not progress, I would not be surprised to see the Saints put him on IR. You know, a "hamstring" injury... |

I would give Henderson the rest of this season. Let's face it, he not progressing as quickly as he should, but I'm not ready to lable the guy a "bust".
As for Sully.....Well, he is already a bust. If they cut him now, great. I think they should give him his options (if they haven't already). Tell him that he is going to be cut if he dosen't start contributing. Tell him he is gone on the final cuts if he dosen't show the heart to play. |

the main reason he good a good college career because of the scheme he played in and the fact that they rotated 8 or 9 lineman in and out the game, but i guess our FO didn't notice that either!!!!
