After last year’s boycott, viewers in New Orleans return to the Super Bowl
A year ago, Saints fans were so furious about the pass interference no-call that went against them in the NFC Championship Game that they boycotted the Super Bowl, giving the New Orleans market the lowest TV rating for Super Bowl LIII of any American metropolitan area.
This year, Saints fans were again disappointed by a pass interference no-call that went against them in their postseason loss, but that no-call wasn’t quite as infuriating, and so Saints fans were back to watching the Super Bowl in large numbers. more on PFT | |

I'll admit that I watched it. It was the first time in years though. Go Saints! The NFL sucks!

In hindsight, it was actually a pretty good game to watch, if you didn't really care and didn't really have a dog in the hunt to root for.
I was basically rooting for homeboys Eric Bieniemy (born in the Lower 9) and Tyrann Mathieu (played at St. Aug, and his uncle who raised him was the main UPS driver for the French Quarter delivery route for many years). Glad they got rings. |

Tuned in at the start of the 4th. quarter, pretty much saw the best part of the game.
Haven't lost my memory from the days we were in that division so I couldn't pull for the Niners. Plus Andy deserved a ring, lord knows he's paid his dues. |

I don't care about the boycott. We need to grow up and stop blaming refs for when this team ****s their pants in the playoffs. Refs aren't the ones putting these rosters together, coming up with game plans or keeping Dennis Allen employed to run a defense that always screws up. |
