Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I totally agree Chris. If we do trade him then we have to teach the system to another running back during a shortened off season. Kamara knows the system and excels in it. I just wish Payton would not try to make him into a bell cow.....that's why he was hurt all last year. He is not a feature back but Payton treats him like one.

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
That's it. That's priority #1. Look it, you get another long defensive end off top of the draft here's what it does...
First, with enough darts, odds are you're gonna have at least one guy opposite Cam to make the vise work... Second, Cam's not getting younger and when his production drops off suddenly, you should still have two effective DEs... Third, you've got contracts coming for Ramczyk, Lattimore - big contracts; then you'll have leverage the following year if Davenport is still having availability problems... Fourth, you're making a tournament run, you can keep Cam fresh, hell change 'em out like a hockey front line - keep running fresh horses at a tired offensive line... Fifth, if studs like Epenesa or Gross-Matos are there, those are 10-15 year cornerstones like Cam you can invest a 1st vs speed rushers who tale off in their late 20s... Sixth, all this secondary talent amassed is just BS if you're giving a playoff QB with a playoff offensive line four-plus seconds to release the ball downfield on 3rd & longs... Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results and for three straight seasons, we ran outta pass rushers in the tournament... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Not having an offseason to evaluate not only Wide Receiver but all positions for relative progress in recovery from injuries will also be a factor in this draft...

Just looking at that LB depth chart makes me sick to my stomach.

Damn, we're spoiled...
Know I'm in the minority, but I believe the LBer depth chart is better and more appropriate than we give it credit... Besides, I'd rather have my best players, depth at Defensive End, Cornerback, and Safety vs today's NFL... |
