JP,

Zach Baun (R3P10, #74)

What are your thoughts here? Hadn't seen much of him after 3 games.

Hearing a number of things; it could be a tweak hamstring injury from camp was more than Payton has disclosed (since it started in camp); it could also be his previous left foot injury (Non-NFL related)...

Another issue that's come up, as the defense showed some improvement, Dennis Allen added more layers, complexity to the fronts, reads/reactions, and they're as complicated as they were under Ryan...

So Baun, with no rookie camp, abbreviated training camp, and no preseason games has had to really take on a lot; Baun was also drafted to replace Davis in the even he became salary cap cost prohibitive to re-sign...

I'll DM some folks to see if they can now start to leak out what's going on...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Baun played on 15 special teams plays so he’s actively contributing

That's all good and all but let's hope he transitions to some meaningful snaps on defense as a pass rushing specialist.

Have you seen Kaden Ellis play this year? He's lost (surrendered 2 td thus far) in coverage right now. Anzalone isn't much of a blitzer and that leaves Demario to do the job, omitting our best defensive player out of coverage.

We need all of the extra pass rushing specialist we can get.

Letting veterans Chikilo and Nigel go so early in camp was a interesting move.
