this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Now the question is do we end up keeping four (4) RBs and one (1) FB? Saints have Ty Montgomery listed as a RB......

He does offer something in the return game, though... ProFootball Reference: Ty Montgomery Career Stats |

Montgomery really only had one bad receiving year and that was when he played for Baltimore. His catch % was 62.5 that season. The team rate was only 60%. In his first season before he played RB he had a 78.9% rate. That's very good. I think it would be hard to say he has "poor hands." |

According to ProFootball Reference, since joining the league, he's not even in the top 200 on catch rate for RBs... That was the point I was making about his position designation; and one of the pluses of his addition to the roster is that he'd been a solid return guy except for one gaffe Packers fans couldn't forget... |

I'm not saying he's the best receiving back in the league but to say he has "poor hands" is quite a stretch. |
