We've traded up multiple times for players that just get released before the season starts or never see the field. It doesn't feel like the Jeff Ireland drafts of old, which makes me think someone else is getting a little too involved again. |

Well I can say this regarding Baun, Payton said post-draft that they envisioned him as a Mike. With such an abbreviated offseason and no preseason it’s entirely possible that he just hasn’t had the practice time to make that transition. Instead, in order to get him on the field in some capacity they’ve used him in his college role rushing the passer a couple snaps per game.

Kwon’s cap hit next season is like $13 mil with no dead money if we release him. It’s entirely possible that Kwon isn’t on the team next season if he doesn’t show enough to warrant a restructure/extension.
