New Orleans Saints: 5 players that may have played their last game as a Saint
The New Orleans Saints will have tough decisions to make this offseason.
There’s no denying the New Orleans Saints will have to get rid of at least a few fan favorites. With the season coming to an end, fan favorites often turn into hard decisions for coaches and general managers. Some decisions are easy to make, but others could turn into grueling situations in which multiple parties remain unhappy. That said, let’s break down some tough decisions New Orleans may have to make in the near future. Alozo Peat Bridgewater Apple Robinson Read the rest. https://whodatdish.com/2020/02/27/fi...e-new-orleans/ |

We keep Robinson, and maybe Alonzo.
The rest can go. | |

Kiko - he's a dawg BUT ...ACL injury #3 & approaching 30. His price tag is almost 9M against the cap. If you free him, we get almost 8M in cap relief. I think he's gone.
Peat - let someone else over pay. For his production, we can find cheaper, better talent. I don't know if Easton is the answer, however I do know Peat isn't. 2 Glove Teddy - he's gone. I think he'll get a lot of interest in FA. Appreciate his play during that 5 game stretch. Regardless of the circumstances, he still help lead us to W's. Apple - IDK .. played well initially, then fell off after the Bears game & subsequent injury. Something isn't right. I don't see the confidence at corner. Bad body language .. IDK, you can never have enough CB late in the season though. But at what cost? Robinson - a year older coming off injury & sub par play. Unfortunately, my last memory is PRob getting flamed by Thielan on that bomb. Game over, season over. I think he's gone. |

None of them come back...
None of them are worth their current paycheck. Peat getting into the pro-bowl was a joke. Easton outplayed him significantly, when Peat came back in the offensive production went into the toilet. There is no other player on the team I am more excited about not having next year. Kiko- Like him, but injury prone and not worth the money. Teddy- Will start for another team. Apple- Once a corner loses confidence you should just cut your loses. Robinson- Seems to give up the big play consistently, gets outplayed by UDFAs. None of these guys are tough calls IMO. |
The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.
