The point is in a 16 team conference nearly half a conference should not be making the playoffs. You are promoting mediocrity. Give it a few more years and it will be first and second in each division make it |

Re: New Playoff Structure of CBA is passed
Who cares? It means more football. It's entertainment. It makes more regular season games important at the end of the season. It strengthens the playoff field, making it LESS mediocre in most seasons. It makes getting the #1 seed that much more important. I don't see anything negative by adding another team into the mix.

I would have rather seen full time refs and officiating reform but that will never happen. I do not like all the out of market games they are proposing. Especially 8 games a year. That hurts the fans. |

As it stands today, the are at least four games that are being played internationally. That's at least four "home" games being played away. Under the proposed 17 game schedule, every team while have EIGHT home games, EIGHT away games and ONE game at a neutral site. That one game may or may not be out of the country.

The Rams, who would have been the 7th seed ended up with the same record as the Eagles, a 4th seed and division winner. But the Rams were the #3 team in their division while the Eagles won theirs.![]()
If you really wanted the best teams, then rank by conference and only take the top 7 conference teams. But as long as the division system exists, then adding wildcards gives the opportunity for teams who would wipe the floor with the NFC Least a chance to get in and demonstrate it. SFIAH |

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
