this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I thought Apple was a great late season addition to the secondary. He came into the system looking good and productive. The thing is he never looked the same after the injury. I don't know if it's a mental thing ...

I thought Apple was a great late season addition to the secondary. He came into the system looking good and productive. The thing is he never looked the same after the injury. I don't know if it's a mental thing or a nagging injury that has hampered his play. I do know that he has not played the same since he got hurt.
If it's a mental thing I don't know if he can ever overcome it. I've heard about football players losing confidence but in over 40 years of rugby I've never see that from a rugby player. Although, sometimes players don't come back to play but that's usually when they figure out that they aren't tough enough. |
