Re: Rate the O-line
Something that needs to be taken into consideration on Peat's conditioning coming into the 2018 season. Do not forget that he suffered a broken leg and a high ankle sprain in the playoff game earlier that year. That basically means no cardio training during the off-season. Then the broken arm and hand on two fluke plays affected his abilities during the 2019-2020 postseason.
He was actually quite good when healthy. It is impossible to defend against broken bones in the trenches. |

Solid depth is the name of the game. |
Re: Rate the O-line
Better than most, not as good as some.
Injury history concerns me as does lack of depth. |
Re: Rate the O-line
FWIW, I thought in a "back up" role, Nick Easton performed well when Peat was out due to injury. He rarely holds, no false starts and minimum pressure on #9 in a relief role.

I honestly cant remember if that was a concern for Rankins but he cant stay healthy either. I agree you cant fault guys for being injured, but you dont keep signing dudes that are constantly Injured, in my humble opinion. Look, not one dude on this board doesnt hope he balls out. And nothing we can do other than that since he is signed, but guys here have a right to be apprehensive and think it wont work. And the worst question is what do we do when it doesnt? |
Re: Rate the O-line
IMO Ryan Ramz will become the next Willie Roaf.

Re: Rate the O-line
I hope the Saints didn't overrate Peat and sign him to that deal because he somehow made the pro bowl.
