Payton's Draft Approach

Payton said publicly that he would not roll the dice on injured players this year. It sounds to me like he is going to be more conservative.

What do you think he'll do besides gambling hard on draft day?

Makes sense

Should never be rolling the dice on them really, in the early rounds. Them 7-9 season where full of drafts on complete crocks that couldn't stay healthy.

Worth a risk if your in the 3rd round and have a few picks but with the Saints picks the last few years you can't be risking them on injured players.

Actually this is the the most beneficial year to be a bit risky, when most other teams are likely to take a conservative approach. Swing for the fences.

I would imagine that there will be fewer trades this year. It's still a possibility though that we move up for one player we covet.
