@Kat_Terrell Saints wanted to sign Stevens as a free agent, guess they got wind that someone else liked him · 2h Actually sounds like he was leaning toward signing with someone else if he didn't get drafted so Saints wanted to make sure they got him |

Re: UDFA Tracker Thread
I think this draft was talent deep. Some of the UDFA's will make the team. Others like the punter are camp bodies. But that doesn't mean they won't get a chance on another team or make our practice squad. I think SP and Loomis went for "Insurance" at every position, including punter. What happens if Morestead gets hurt, especially before the playoffs? We could have someone step up from practice squad.

Jones is a strong, downhill runner with good instincts and vision. Quick and agile.

Callaway is really good with the ball in the air. Goes up and gets it.

Re: UDFA Tracker Thread
I'm keeping my eye on Callaway.
He wins a lot of 50/50 balls and has speed to separate + he has played some special teams. Jordan Humphrey and Emmanuel Butler are no locks in 2020. Being able to play on special teams could help him earn a roster spot or at least practice squad. |

Magee is kind of stiff and lacks athleticism. Will require some coaching up.

Re: UDFA Tracker Thread
We certainly went all out for O-line this year. We spent our first round pick on an interior lineman and then signed several UDFA's that also play the O-line who will likely all compete at spots on the interior as well from what I understand. I don't know if we brought in a true tackle who won't be moved to guard. Maybe the LSU guy?
Sean Payton was adamant about strengthening the interior of the line which is where got nailed last year. Someone should shake out of the UDFA's that will push Clapp and Tom(?) for a roster spot on the final roster. Especially if we were to trade Warford. But I don't know if he will go or if we will keep him and then get a comp pick when he walks next year. |
