I know this. If we face another stretch without Brees, he's about the best backup available. |

Re: Jameis Winston 1 yr deal
I think this is a good insurance policy in case Brees gets injured but also gives the team a good look at him to see if those turnover issues can be corrected. If so, the sky is the limit for Winston with a coach like Payton. He threw for over 5,000 yards last season! He will also push Taysom during camp and the best man with end up being the no. 2 QB. I personally think that Taysom is gone after this season which is why the Saints traded back into the draft to select Stevens who is similar to Hill.
Worst case he is our no.3 and then he leaves for another team next season and we get our 3rd round pick back! |

Now we actually have a reason to bring Ted Ginn back. Winston can actually utilize his strengths.

Re: Jameis Winston 1 yr deal
People actually trying to claim he jut here incase both get hurt. If that was the case they'd have signed McCown or Glennon.
He's a 26 year old first round pick that's just thrown big yardage. Yeah he has many issues but they're having a look if that's him or the system. He has far more pedigree as a QB than Hill has and he's 4 years younger. |

Will he change his name from "Cab Legs" to "CrawFish Legs" ... or will he always be "Crab Legs"?

Re: Jameis Winston 1 yr deal
Actually D-Jax played much better with Fitzpatrick at QB, never got on the same page with Winston. And he is all time great when it comes to tracking the football and making those long throws automatic TDs. Also I don't like Ginns route running and effort which was evident this past season. I think Harris will take that next step into becoming our Tyreek Hill type of player. Winston can be lethal on those 20-30 yds throws and seams for TEs. He made Cameron Brate look like prime Jimmy Graham on those red zone TDs.

Re: Jameis Winston 1 yr deal
I think it’s just a stepping stone for him to learn and focus on his fundamentals so he can find a starting job in 2021.
