Re: Saints Sign UDFA LSU Tackle Adrian Magee
SP signs an LSU player?
Seriously... 14 kids drafted, AND 5 UDFA for a total of 19 off of ONE team. That is insane. LSU really was loaded! | |

Re: Saints Sign UDFA LSU Tackle Adrian Magee
He's better at Guard. And he commits a TON of penalties. If they can get him to clean up the penalties, he has the raw strength to maul people in the run game, and make a solid backup.

Re: Saints Sign UDFA LSU Tackle Adrian Magee
It was the greatest college team of all time. Same thing happened to the previous greatest Miami. It was almost impossible to not be in a position to snag one of them with. Probably 20 or more when it's all said and done.

Re: Saints Sign UDFA LSU Tackle Adrian Magee
They don't DRAFT LSU players. They've signed a few free agents before, like Harry Coleman, Travin Dural and Will Clapp. They're willing to make zero risk UDFA signings.
But they avoid LSU's top prospects in the actual draft like the plague. It's just hard to not, by happenstance, run into a player from one of the top talent producers in the nation, when your pick comes up, at least once every three or four years. They take guys from Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, etc. But not LSU. It's not a requirement. It's just weird that it never happens. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Clapp was drafted in the 7th. He was not a free agent.

Not trying to sound like a LSU homer but they produce good to elite level production at the NFL level every year. But to your point, we have no issues selecting one in the lower rounds or undrafted. Weird . |
