Didn't see a whole lot of Tennessee games however I've read the QB play was very inconsistent. What I do like is that he can high point the ball & is a 50/50 hawk. Also like the fact that he "fights" on those under thrown passes.

I wasn't high on Southlake (Jordan Humphrey) last year as an UDFA however I'm more excited to see what Marquez (mar QUEZ) can do in a Saints offense.

A plus for him is that he's played on special teams/punt coverage.

He sure seems like a laid back guy. I hope he picks it up a notch when he gets to training camp. He seems nice but I prefer fiery vocal leaders. If he can turn up the enthusiasm when needed then I wish him well.

He doesn’t seem to get much separation on his routes but he damn sure doesn’t have a problem making contested catches.

Maybe poor QB play hurt Callaway's development perhaps? Kind of like Alvin Kamara Syndrome while he was playing up in Knoxville.

I think Callaway could push Jordan Humphrey and/or Butler at camp.

I had to revive this 2020 thread & quote something I read from a NFL player personnel scout on Marquez:

"He just doesn't offer up enough versatility to be draftable in my eyes. I don't think he's a fast as people think and he's just going to be a vertical-only receiver." -- Personnel director for NFC team.

All Callaway has done is over perform. He's beating the odds.

Curtis Johnson is an excellent position coach.
