Nooz Flash!

Feb 6th, 2006 - Detroit

In what may be the most shocking come-back story of all time, the unpredictable New Orleans Saints rallied from a 55-98 halftime deficit to defeat the unstoppable Indianapolis Colts in Superbowl XL.

Some attribute the uncanny victory to unprecedented events at halftime. Wearing a black and gold T-shirt labeled "Fire Venturi", an unknown hysterically-screaming assailant beat defensive coordinator Rick Venturi to death with a half-eaten pizza slice. In spite of the tragedy, Saints fans rejoiced, and New Orleans held the Colts scoreless throughout the remainder of the game to win 99-98.

Wearing a pink tuxedo, Saints GM Mickey Loomis quoted "It was our marketing campaign that did it for us this year. Really, it was the difference maker. We just love that I GOTTA HAVE FAITH tune by that King of Evil, that Sultan of Metal, that tough hard-boiled man-handling super-rocker GEORGE MICHAEL!! He's so rough, he just makes us all feel like little girls inside. We figured it was the motto we needed to become an ass-kicking hard-nosed Superbowl winner."

In unrelated controversy, George Michael will be fined after baring a breast and nipple on television during halftime ceremonies.

MVP -- After accumulating 8,946 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 23 passes, Deuce McAllister triumpantly ascended the platform to accept the MVP trophy. However, quarterback Aaron Brooks fumbled the microphone away before Deuce could offer an acceptance speech.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

Did you think any of this was actually funny when you typed it? Or did you INTEND for it to be pointless, stupid, and time-wasting?

Bad day?

On a side note , this dispells any rumors that the infamous poster Saintz08 had started on the reason the Saints management went with the slogan " Have Faith " and used the song by George Michael , was because they were jerking the public off with the thought the team would achieve anything this season .

You used "George Michael" and "jerking the fans off" in the same sentence. I suspect you'll be banned.

Jesus Gamber. If you don't like my humor, then don't read it. Nobody is forcing you to read posts. You're new to the board, so I won't take offence after your pointless slurry of hostile insults.

I happen find that little article funny. And if it amuses me, then that is enough. If you don't like it, don't read it.

You could be right , I have another thought here :

The certain similarity in the thought of the Saints going with a catch phrase like " Have Faith " a once popular song title from a pop artist known for jerking off in public and then years later , the Saints upper management would later popularize it with what some would consider a jerking off of the public ....

Interesting take. Let's hope not.

For the folks that have a sense of humor here. What motto or catch phrase can you come up with for the upcoming season?

All in fun, mind you.
