Out of Towners Who Want to Watch the Saints Play....

I am a college student in North Carolina, and I will be living in a dorm for another year. This sucks for me because my dorm has cable and I can't purchase the NFL Field Pass because it is only for Directv. I wish that the NFL had a deal like MLB had where you can buy the season pass online and watch the games on your computer. However, they don't so I am stuck watching the local Fox channel on Sundays and usually being stuck having to watch the Panthers play (PUKE). So I was wondering, is there any way that I will be able to watch any Saints games this season (besides going to a sports bar), or am I SOL? If there is no other way to get the games does anybody know of any sports bars in Winston-Salem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Out of Towners Who Want to Watch the Saints Play....

Sorry guy, I know of no other option that finding a bar (or a buddie) that has the NFL ticket and being there religiously on Sundays. It's obviously best to find a bud with HD and the NFL ticket... though odds are pretty slim that far up.

I'll tell ya what, though, if you can find a place that shows games in HD, then do it, because it's unbelievable. It's just mesmerizing.

You can get the games over your computer (audio-only with a silly java screen showing ball position, down, stats, etc) over your computer via the NFL Field Pass (think that's what it's called). It uses RealPlayer to play the audio. It runs about $30 a season, you can link to it off NFL.com. It's not great, but better than nothing at all.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

I know this is going to sound rediculous, but yahoo(and maybe nf.com also) has a feature where you can log on to the webpage for a particular game and it will refresh every 60 seconds and take you play by play with whats going on. They even plot out the path of the drive on a football field. If you listen to a live online broadcast of the game and watch that you may have..atleast a little bit of satisfaction.

I would go with the HD choice if it were up to me...
I gotta 42" hd.....5.1 and all that..
My brother has a 55" LCD Hd (Yucks fan)
And two friends with 65" Lcd........
It's like nothing you've ever seen......
