Sean Payton links upcoming election to needed change

Most members of the NFL community who have spoken out about recent events have done so apolitically, giving statements that don’t mention any particular election or elected official. Saints coach Sean Payton has made a different kind of statement.

Payton today posted two pictures on Twitter, one of George Floyd and one of Ahmaud Arbery, and wrote a brief statement that referenced the upcoming election.

“Were Murdered not Killed on Video. How many have we not seen? 22 weeks from today for change,” Payton wrote.

Sean Payton is comically ignorant. I have zero respect left for him.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say the same about you.

Coming from one of the most ignorant and annoying people on this board, that's rich.

False on both accusations.

I invite you to give an example of my "ignorance". And please note that disagreeing with me and resorting to ad hominem attacks is not equal to evidence, or anything remotely credible. For every 1,000 words I type out to make my arguments, you offer about five words. And none of them address any point.

I was referring more to the respect aspect, but ignorant works as well. There's no need in defending myself of your false accusations honestly. I would just rather not see your posts anymore. I guess it's time to find and use the ignore function if there is one. Making a point using 1000 words doesn't make you anymore of an adult than myself. Logic and simplicity seem to work out fine using few words. I did get a good laugh out of your elitist mindset.

Goodbye...

Awww, the poor widdle ignorant baby can't actually justify his previous post so he spouts off a couple of recycled garbage talking points about respect and elitism.

Here are a few simple and logical words for you. Every non football related thing you post is a dumpster fire full of bull****. As are most of your football related posts honestly. There are a lot of people on here who I disagree with about a lot of things, but I still don't mind talking with them or seeing their posts. Then there's you. The sight of your screen name makes me nauseous in and of itself. Your posts reek of the same elitism you accuse burn of, and you are probably the most mean spirited person on this forum when you disagree with someone. I've seen plenty of people have plenty of disagreements and still remain pretty civil, not so with you. You are everything that's wrong with the world today, and I wish you'd **** off over to saintsreport with the rest of the trolls... Whew, that feels better. Mods, I'm sorry about this, but this guy has made my skin crawl since the day he showed up and I've had it.

Let me see if I can break down your post: You don't actually have an example of my "ignorance", but you instead believe that I am disrespectful now? And this coming from the person who consistently resorts to personal attacks, while I've done nothing of the sort to you? In other words, if I don't agree with you, I'm disrespectful? And you are not? Interesting.

And I don't type a thousand words to make one point. I said "for every thousand words I type to make my arguments, you offer about five words". That's called a ratio. Ever heard of that? Oops, I guess my "elitism" is showing, huh? Which brings me to my next point. There is nothing "elitist" about stating facts and requesting that my counterpart do the same. The fact that you had to crawfish and make yet another blind accusation, is all anyone on this board needed to see to know what you're about. But then, they already knew this. Meanwhile, myself and others take the time and make the effort to make reasoned points, with context and factual information. Your issue is that if someone goes over your head, they are "elitist". That's pretty sad.

By the way, I didn't make any "accusations" about you. I didn't say anything about you that isn't universally known by anyone who has ever seen your posts, and your attitude.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Sean Payton links upcoming election to needed change

Do we agree that the areas minorities are in have been targeted and police abuse occurs in those areas (as it does in others to a lesser extent)?

Keep in mind those areas, have been governed by democrats for 60+ years. If people want change, they need to vote for different local politicians.

Minneapolis:
Mayor- Democrat
City council- Democrat
DA- Democrat
Governor- Democrat

It's been that way for decades... and their answer... keep voting for the same thing. It's no different around other metro-cities.

So, I agree with Sean if he is talking about real change that matters, but he isn't and doesn't really care.

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.
