Re: Backlash from Michael Thomas, among others, forces Drew Brees to clarify comments
I saw . I came straight here.
I did read any comments yet. Who are these folks PR people? Someone from his camp should have told him last Friday when Don Lemon started calling on entertainers and athletes to say something, “Drew , make sure you shut da ‘ ***c up before you say anything.” Noooo. He had to post up. Let his little pea brain and crooked fingers do some talking. Let me post. Malcolm Jenkins got on CNN . Brees is trending On line. What a mess. I always say people need to not post up every little stupid thought their brain farts out. I learned the hard way many of times putting my two left ,size 11 feet in my mouth, shut da ‘ *** up. I have said uhhhhh, some doozies . It took me about 30 years to figure out to shut da’ ***c up. Sometimes you just cannot say stuff. Ex. An oops, but I can live with for the next 10-25 years. I recently commented to m niece about about her fiancé. Why did I not shut da’ ***c up, lol. We don’t speak. Maybe in 10-25 years from now. I made my peace with it. I ate that. Done said is done said. We don't speak. She speaks to her mother’s sister who made a comment, same comment. Another thing, some comments of the same can come from some people, but not others. Back to Brees. Brees goofed. I know Wifey Brittney and SeanP are pizzed. Brees just has to sit in it now. Hell, people Black, White, Conservative, Liberal , etc., are after Beyonce and JayZ for posting up. This is a very controversial, difficult time. LilWayne , Prince William and Kate got bashed on social media. Tyler Perry too. Oh well. I cannot worry about him I got a wedding to go to later this. Gawd, I do not want to go. I will and I smilesmilelaugh and shut da’ ***c up. Oh I hope Brees does not backstroke and do the ole apology. No. It is out there now. Trust me, a semi- retired Foot- in- Mouth pro , that does not work. I apologized and each time I did in my mess, twice, and it got worst each time. What a mess Brees made . It will pass ...like in October. |

Re: Backlash from Michael Thomas, among others, forces Drew Brees to clarify comments
This is why I didn't want Jenkins back. He's the biggest loud mouth of them all. Apparently the entire team is infected with his bigotry. And yes, the way Jenkins and his teammates are reacting to Brees is true bigotry.
Millionaires, telling others what they're allowed to say, and crying about "systemic racism". What about the fact that black folks, despite making up only 13% of the population, somehow lead the nation in violent crime? Given the amount of interactions with police that they force upon themselves, it speaks to the exact OPPOSITE of racism that more blacks aren't killed by police. Does that mean that every act is justified by police? No, of course not. You can't take the countless thousands of cops out there and expect that a small number won't go rogue. Is it a systemic problem? Not even close. These people keep saying "listen to us". We've listened... We've proven that it isn't a systemic problem. The left cherry picks what they will report on, and these ignorant football players take the bait and show just exactly what racism actually looks like. It's sad. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Brees has way more support than them. It's not even close. I do wish they would actually do more than just kneel though. How about a protest in black communities on gun violence. No reason Chicago should have over 200 gun murders this year. It's out of control and has been for a long long time. Nobody does or says anything. We have to stop the senseless loss of black youth. We can deal with racism but the real loss of black lives is on black lives killing black lives. |

The best way to get what you want from people is to strategically plant seeds of hate and distrust between two people. Eventually it will come to a head and while they’re busy fighting and trying to kill each other you have all the time in the world to go through all their **** and rob them of everything while they are distracted. In the end you have both peoples stuff while one is dead and the other is facing consequences.
This scenario applies to every aspect of life. |

I don’t see how in the world these guys are going to want to play for him. It’s going to be really sad if these comments wind up tarnishing his career. |

I am good with Drew for expressing his opinion and not sugar-coating it. I am also cool with several Saints current and former showing their saltiness about it. Emotions are high after the George Floyd execution and whatever you believe it is just more heartfelt now than it ever was before.
Here is what I hope ... it would be great if we cross racial lines on this issue. Meaning at least one of our black Saints aligns with Drew and says he also can't get behind kneeling during the anthem, and likewise at least one of our white Saints kneels during the anthem because the feeling of alienation moves him to do so. We've got a strong locker room, and as soon as the cleats hit the field we'll find a way to bring the humility and comradery back. |
