Adam will get in a few looks this season as a rookie. Can catch and is a willing blocker. His athleticism is also undeniable.
Can't wait to see how Sean Payton utilizes him in the Saints offense. |

If he performs as I expect it is going to be hard to keep him OUT of the lineup.

Re: Dan Campbell Talks Jared Cook & Adam Trautman
I don’t expect Trautman to do much of anything this season. TE is usually one of the hardest positions to make the jump to the NFL and he’s coming from a small school. He’ll probably make a bigger impact as a blocker in 12 personnel.

As for the "small school" .. that means NOTHING. If you can play, you can play. See stud rookie and ALL PRO Deonte' Harris. Assumption College finest. Trust the tape, not the school. |

Re: Dan Campbell Talks Jared Cook & Adam Trautman
TE is one of the toughest to transition because next to the QB the TE is responsible for knowing more about the offense as a whole. This is an area where Trautman excelled at Dayton. He is a former QB who broke every passing record at his high school. He has been compared to George Kittle and Travis Kelce. The guy is smart.

You don't expect much from Adam as a rookie at TE ... I do. Especially considering who we have as our QB and Head Coach. |

Re: Dan Campbell Talks Jared Cook & Adam Trautman
Don't forget the TE Coach named in the title of this thread - Dan Campbell...
He's the Asst Head Coach for a reason - effective communicator, proportional detailed planner, inspirational motivator... And Josh Hill is a seasoned, knowledgeable veteran who's got a reputation of team first and working with other TEs to adapt and learn the scheme... Any Tight End in America would want to walk into this situation... |

Re: Dan Campbell Talks Jared Cook & Adam Trautman
Could we possibly, somehow, maybe see some two TE sets this year?
