Re: Superdome to close off first 8 rows of seating during Saints games

Why?

to piss off their most loyal fans

to keep a covid buffer for the players

I heard one season ticket holder with 20 year 3rd row end zone seats is being offered 15th row at best

who are you protecting?

Pam Oliver?

Getting fans out of throwing distance to any player kneeling for the National Anthem?

Here it is....

It’s league wide

NFL owners also agreed on a conference call to use the tarped-off seating for extra advertising space, somewhat mitigating the lost revenue from ticket sales.

Mitigating lost revenue?

THere is no lost revenue - the players don’t have to interact with the fans in the first row if they choose.

”who is the game Played for? Advertisement banners?

FANS or more obscene profits?

let’s piss off fans, relocate everyone or refund their money and take you further away from the game.

Why don’t you ban 50% of the people in the suites while you are at it.
Oh wait

There won’t be any games so it’s moot.

No... of course they’re going to attempt it. I just don’t see any way they can pull off a full season. Florida and Texas are being hit particularly hard right now and those states account for almost 20% of teams in the league. I just don’t see how it’s possible man. We’re hitting record numbers of reported daily infections and it’s many months into this thing.

We can talk about players and coaching staffs being kept in a bubble and limiting fan attendance, but what about all the production crew, vendors, stadium employees?

They'll do just what they are planning on doing with the players. Expanded rosters, except in that case expanded crew and staff everywhere. If, and when, someone gets it they will be quarantined and their replacement works. Everyone gets tested the day before and day of events. EVERYONE is screened before entering the work environment. Also, avoid any workers with comorbidities.

There will be tons of precautions. The reason why it is running rampant across the communities is because so many people, especially between the ages of 18-29, have completely stopped taking precautions. It can be controlled in a protective environment without the need for an extreme bubble. People are going to get it. They key is minimizing the chance of exposure from others. The league and everyone involved will be buying all in on the protective measures as their livelihoods depend upon them.

There is also a record number of tests being done each day.

What did people expect to see? We just had massive protests around the country and people didn’t think that was going to cause a spike in cases... man some people get played like a fiddle.

We are seeing a rise in covid but very few deaths and hospitalizations

But the media will instill fear

Unless you are a peaceful protestor
