Defensive Injuries equals...
...an open variable. With the subtle injuries multiplied with several average unproven players we have on the defensive side of the ball, do any of you guys see the organization looking hard to pick up a few game breakers? The saints organization is always keeping their eye open for a deal, but...are there any quality players available to pursue via trade or free agency? My biggest concern personally is the Middle LB position. One thing I can say there is nothing you can compare to the suspense and anticipation of the 2005 season coming apon us.

RE: Defensive Injuries equals...
We certainly don't have the finances to acquire any gamebreakers. With the extensions that have been given and going to be given, I don't think anything will happen. Our problems will be fixed internally and hopefully we'll be able to gel together for a good season.
I know people are going to talk about trading Howard for Simon... but if this were going to happen, it would have been done already. There's no point in trading for a player who's going to have to adjust to a new city, new scheme, and new team mates with so little time left before the regular season. |
