Probably looking for veteran leadership and familiarity with DA's defense. From all indications he is very respected in the locker room. He was a team captain for the Eagles each of the past four years and was the same with the Saints before going to the Eagles. He is also a VP of the NFLPA Executive Committee. Regardless of what some fans think of him, he is a positive force among the players. He's also a pretty damned good safety.

Veteran Leadership? We're not starting any rookies and other players like Mr. Marcus, Lattimore have to be given an opportunity to step up...

And Janoris Jenkins is no rookie...

Let other players step up and have that mantle and see if they can't be leaders, especially when you're about to extend them some big 'Mo contracts...

We're obviously going all in this season, as we should in my opinion. Too much worrying about the future can negatively affect the current. I say do everything you can to win today because you never know what the future brings. Don't forget that Jenkins has more Lombardi wins than any other player on the roster.

That was last year too and the year before, remember that was why they kept giving up draft picks and extra draft picks. Davenport, 2 first round picks

And we were good enough to go all the way. Bad breaks stopped all three runs, not lack of talent on the field. We've gone all in and still were able to go all in again and again. That's my point. Stop worrying so much about next year and the next. There's always a way to go "all in" then.

Gil Brandt has said the exact same thing. He said you need to do everything you can to win this year and wait to worry about next year next year. His Cowboys had a pretty decent run with that philosophy. They also had a good deal of luck. You need both to win it all.

If we could just stop choking in the offseason we may be alright.
Tired of seeing us having great regular seasons only to choke when it’s clutch time.

Know Drew had that terrible interception in the red zone vs the Vikes, but I put that one on Payton...

Really, Really believe Brees was as surprised as anyone he was going back in when Taysom and Latavius were absolutely trucking that Vikes D when, Payton gets in the Double Reverse Mode...

And Brees was sent back in, there was confusion with the play call, as well as personnel goming in and, voila, interception...

Payton. Sean Payton should have stayed with the power game that was working and destroyed the Vikes' will at that point of the game...

Payton. Choking starts at the top, and Payton has got to place himself on the hotseat, get real fear back, then the Saints will be better than 2009-10...

Payton. Payton has got too much job security, tenure, and that's why we've bungled and failed despite having the greatest passer of all time...

Like I said , could be a short season for him. He’s got crosshairs on his back.
He better hope we aren’t losing when the time comes for the Dome to reopen. Fans are going to start turning on him.
