this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Davenport is officially OUT. You lost that bet AG before we even played our first game....

I still like the trade, the aggressiveness to get the “two firsts” player. That being said, anybody who looks at me and says: “yeah, it just hasn’t worked out and isn’t/wasn’t worth one first, much less two” has a legitimate argument. Sad, I truly hope he gets healthy and plays. A lot of talent, an awful lot of potential, but the “always injured” label is difficult to shed.

Speaking of bets, it looks like saintsfan1976 is going to owe me a dollar because we didn't trade Kamara.

I get very little satisfaction winning a wager on a injured player but ...
Davenport will be injury prone until he's no longer injury prone. Wonder how patient coach will be with him ... we all know Sean P has limited patience with injured players. Just ask Keenan Lewis, Bryd and Breaux. |

Lewis injury gave me pause about the Saints' partnership with Ochsner, though Westbank's public whining turned me off; however, I felt remorse judging Westbank after Breaux's injury, details were reported... Then there's the incompetence that came to light with the Nick Fairley Affair; and after the year I've had losing all my family in one year, I'm not exactly a big fan of Ochsner... |

Smh, Davenport will never, ever be healthy.
Always a reason that he'll never live up to his potential. May aswell wrap the guy in bubble wrap and let him out on Gameday, but one of the bubbles popping would probably rupture a tendon or something. |
